Lay terra cotta coloured tile floor in the (new) sacristy and make
good defective plasterwork throughout the church.
Install worktop and hot water tank in the sacristy and move the sink,
safe and altar cloths cupboard from the vestry into the sacristy.
Strip out remaining furniture from the vestry, renew fuse board,
install new WC and hand basin, make good the walls (and loo door!) and
redecorate.
Install new book shelves in the vestry and transfer library to the
vestry.
Re-position certain of the existing bookshelves in the mezzanine
storage area over the sacristy. Strip out remainder.
Take down library partition and build, within the same footprint,
block walls to form new WC (with disabled facilities), coats area and
meeting room. Provide new terra cotta tile floor to these areas. Provide
facilities in the meeting room for heating and serving food.
Renew electrics throughout the church, with new wall lights and new
wall mounted heaters, plus a third air conditioning unit, numerous power
points and a sound system.
Phase 2
Remove claustrophobic timber entrance lobby and replace with plate
glass.
Form small, free standing mezzanine over entrance lobby and adjacent
area.
Phase 3
Overhaul, sand and polish existing timber floor, utilising surplus
parquet from the library.
