On New Year's Eve 2003, Ian and Chris Valentine hosted a Wine and Cheese evening at their apartment on the Old Port, prior to an 11:30p.m. open air performance of "Le Grand Spectacle Athanor" by the Théâtre Attrape of Belgium on the Promenade des Bains. A small group of hardy souls braved the cold night air to watch the show, which was followed by fireworks on the beach to welcome in the New Year.
