St John's was very pleased to
welcome Bishop David Hamid, Sufragan Bishop of the Diocese of Europe,
for the first weekend of April. At the Sunday service, which was Passion
Sunday as it is known, Bishop David preached an excellent sermon and
celebrated the communion. During refreshments following the service he
seemed to meet everyone personally and to have time for a chat . All the
Church Council members, with the Bishop, went back to Anne and Ben's
home, and on this beautiful sunny afternoon after lunch, the Bishop held
an inspiring meeting with the council. It was a very good weekend in the
life of St John's
