November Lunch in Church

Not much autumn cheer as an unseasonable cold snap hit the Var, with 2 inches of snow on Mount Vinaigre in the Esterel. Nevertheless, the congregation of St. John's showed once again how we can "Eat for Victory", and 25 of us enjoyed a casserole of Beef with Chestnuts served with a jacket potato. This was followed with cheese and salad, and then Apple Crumble, with, or course, Crème Anglaise.
