Quiz Lunch

A Quiz lunch was held on February 20th at Peter & Shirley's house.

It was a sunny day so everyone gathered on the terrace beforehand, then went inside to enjoy cottage pie and red cabbage, followed by pancakes as it was also Shrove Tuesday. They then split into 5 teams of 4 for the quiz, which covered several topics, and which started with an individual brain teaser that caused many laughs and sighs of exasperation. Team 2 - comprising George, Anne, Joan and Judy - were the winners in a close-run competition. As the addition of pancakes to the menu was such a success, it has been decided to hold the Quiz Lunch on Shrove Tuesday every year so the keen participants can mark it in their diaries. €300 was raised for church funds.
