Sunday 24th October

Back

Welcome today to share in joy, love and peace together within the living spirit of Christ as we come to celebrate the wonder of God.

We worship before god by offering all that we are-our weakness, and our gifts, that the God of all mercy would bless us.

Future dates.

Next Sunday, October 31st, we will celebrate All Saints with All Souls; traditional festivals at this time of the year, when the church remembers all those who have gone before giving their witness to their faith and life in Christ.  You may wish to have a loved one remembered by name, at the altar in prayer on this special day. If you would like this please write the name on a piece of paper and leave it in the basket on the altar either today or before the service next Sunday.

Remembrance Sunday will be observed on Sunday 14th November. Poppies should be on sale by next Sunday. With the continuing war and violence in Iraq and elsewhere, Remembrance Sunday has a very special significance for us all, particularly with the American election taking place at this time.

Next Sunday Lunch will be on 21st November and will have a Thanksgiving theme

Christmas Cards.

Carol Marcer and Cathy Edwards have been very busy making Christmas cards in aid of our Centenary Appeal.  They are on sale today and are going fast, nearly a thousand have been sold already and only a few more will be available over the weeks to come.  Please do buy your cards today help our appeal. If you would like to order cards please sign up on the list on the notice board.
