Welcome this morning as we come together to celebrate the Lord’s life giving presence amidst us. These Sundays in Autumn, All Saints, All Souls, and Remembrance Sunday, are all tinged with recollection, but this morning’s reading from Job makes it clear how in the midst of loss God’s spirit redeems all our lives, all human existence.

Remembrance Sunday will be observed next Sunday 14th November. Poppies are on sale today. With the continuing war and violence in Iraq and elsewhere, Remembrance Sunday has a very special significance for us all,

 

Patricia and Maureen invite you to a delicious lunch, on Thursday 11th November in aid of the Centenary Appeal. This will take place at Maureen’s house in Bagnols en Foret , cost 20 euros.  As this is this coming week you need to sign up today.

 

The next Sunday Lunch will be on 21st November and will have a Thanksgiving theme, with turkey on the menu followed by pumpkin pie. Sign up sheet is at the back of the church. The cost will be in the region of 10euros. Anne has a very simple turkey recipe and she needs volunteers to cook either turkey or pumpkin pie, please indicate by your name if you would be willing to cook.

 

We would like to have a gardening morning, in the next couple of weeks, to plant out the bed behind the church. If you would be willing to give a hand could you met with Freddy and Anne at the back of the church after service to pick a date.

 

Christmas Cards.

The last packs of Christmas are on sale at the back of the church. Please do show your appreciation of the hours of work put in by Carol and her team and Cathy by snapping up these last remaining packs today.
