On 15 September the choir presented a themed musical service called Water of Life, with hymns, anthems, readings and prayers. We were pleased to welcome a large adience of St John’s attenders and visitors, many of whom gave positive feedback and stayed for the regreshments afterwards. Revd Tom Wilson led the service, Martin Paynne conducted the choir, Shirley Rowson accompanied the service on the organ and piano, and the readers were Revd Keith Bretel, Alexandra Lewis-Smith and Dilys Wallis. Thanks to all those who took part, and to the choir for their enthusiasic preparation and perormance, as always. 425€ was raised for the charity Water Aid to help provide clean water for underprivileged areas of the world.
