Church of England's Diocese in Europe

A part of the world wide anglican communion

One of the longest-standing members of St John’s died recently and her funeral was at St John’s on 16 May. Yvette Anderson was in her 90s (she never disclosed her actual age!), and was a Frenchwoman who married an Englishman, Ted Anderson. They lived all over the world due to Ted’s employment, but retired to Les Issambres and then became faithful members of St John’s, taking on various responsibilities over the years. A few years after Ted died, she married one of our former chaplains, Tom Unsworth, and they divided their time between Les Issambres and Kent, still supporting St John’s whenever possible. Sadly, Tom died earlier this year.

We extend our sympathy to her two sons.
